Former Home Improvement star, Zachery Ty Bryan, found himself in legal trouble again as he was arrested in Eugene, Oregon, on felony assault charges in violation of the Abuse Prevention Act. Eugene police responded to a physical dispute between Bryan and an adult female at a north Eugene residence. The incident had reportedly occurred several hours before the police were called.
This is not the first time Bryan has faced legal issues in Oregon. Back in 2020, he was arrested and charged with felony strangulation, fourth-degree assault, coercion, menacing, harassment, and interference with making a police report. Though the most serious charges were dropped, he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors, menacing and fourth-degree assault, and was sentenced to three years of probation. He was also ordered to attend a violence-intervention program called Bridges2Safety and had no contact with the victim, Johnnie Faye Cartwright.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bryan expressed frustration with the media’s portrayal of the arrest, claiming it was blown out of proportion. He acknowledged that the situation was emotionally charged and loud, but he maintained that it wasn’t as physical as the police report suggested. Bryan also revealed that he and Cartwright have been building a family together, despite the past legal issues.
As the legal process unfolds, Bryan’s supporters and fans hope for a resolution that ensures the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
