Vivek Agnihotri, renowned for his movies that reveal the truth, stated that he only works with exceptional actors in his films, specifically National Award-winning actors who excel at their craft.
Director Vivek Agnihotri, known for his controversial yet highly successful film ‘The Kashmir Files,’ openly expresses his emotions. His upcoming movie, ‘The Vaccine War,’ is set to release soon, and the film’s trailer was unveiled in Mumbai on Tuesday. This trailer has garnered a significant response nationwide, building anticipation for the film.
The film stars Vivek Agnihotri’s wife, Pallavi Joshi, who is also the film’s producer and portrays a scientist. When asked about his decision to cast his wife and his experience working with her, Vivek Agnihotri responded, “I don’t cast average actors. I choose National Award-winning actors. Pallavi is a talented actress, which is why she secured a role in my film. Additionally, she has more experience in the industry than I do. She adds dimensions and dynamics to the character that my writing alone cannot provide. Working with intelligent actors like her is always enjoyable.”
Speaking about ‘The Vaccine War,’ Vivek Agnihotri mentioned, “It is one of the most challenging films I have ever made or will ever make. It delves into intricate and complex science. We had to make the invisible visible. Every aspect of the film was incredibly difficult, but I had to simplify it to a level where even an uneducated Indian woman can understand it. I believe we have successfully achieved that.”
‘The Vaccine War’ is a medical thriller directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Pallavi Joshi. It is based on the true story of the development of Covaxin during the Covid-19 pandemic in India. The film features an ensemble cast including Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Sapthami Gowda, and Mohan Kapur.
