Prince Harry celebrated his 39th birthday by partying in Germany with bratwurst and beer. On the night before his big day, he went out in Dusseldorf with his wife Megan, Duchess of Sussex, and a group of friends. They enjoyed a meal at the traditional German restaurant and bar Im Goldened Kessel. Restaurant owner Thea Ungermann described them as lovely and mentioned that they sat next to each other during the meal.
The publication reported that Prince Harry indulged in bratwurst sausage and wiener schnitzel, accompanied by beer. He was also presented with a white chocolate birthday cake, and the staff sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to him. The head waiter, Frank Wackers, expressed that they were very happy and that Prince Harry is a lovely man.
The group did not dine in a private space and enjoyed a true German meal, drinking local beer and eating family-style dishes. They were in joyful spirits, toasting and laughing with the team. After dinner, they returned to their hotel where Prince Harry was treated to another rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ and some cake.
Prince Harry had flown into Dusseldorf to kick off the 2023 edition of the Invictus Games, an event he launched in 2014 for injured service personnel and veterans. Meghan joined him later in the week. They attended a Family + Friends party during the competition, and Meghan explained that she was late due to her commitments to their children. She expressed her happiness to be there and praised the community created by Invictus.
“It is amazing, and I hear the week so far has been off to a good start — is that right?” she added.
