Paris Jackson’s alleged stalker is facing potential jail time of up to one year. The actress, known for her role in ‘Star’, had previously sought a restraining order against an unidentified man who had reportedly climbed her fence and peered into her windows. While a friend of the singer managed to chase him away, he was later arrested and charged with four misdemeanor offenses, including two counts of stalking. The Blast reports that the man is also facing charges of “loitering to commit a crime” and “harassment on social media”. If convicted, he could be sentenced to one year in jail and a maximum fine of $1,000.
The suspect is currently being held at Los Angeles’ Men Central Jail on a bail amount of $20,000. In her restraining order filing, Paris Jackson emphasized her lack of familiarity with the accused individual, stating that he began messaging her in late 2019 and expressing concern that his attempts to contact her had escalated. Just two days after he scaled her fence, another report was filed of a man approaching the 25-year-old star’s front door. However, she was not at home during either incident.
In 2018, Paris Jackson had obtained a temporary restraining order against a different alleged stalker who had turned up at the recording studio where she was working. The individual had previously waited outside for 15 hours in an attempt to meet her. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a friend of Paris Jackson confronted the stalker at the studio, and in response to the question of his purpose there, he allegedly replied with offensive language, saying, “I’m stalking your b****.” He is also accused of making threatening statements, such as, “By midnight it will all be over … the way it ends is with her or with a shotgun.” Prior to this, he had tweeted Paris claiming they were “soul mates”. As a result, Paris was granted a temporary restraining order, with the man being ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from her and to cease all forms of communication.
