Actress Nora Fatehi, who has Moroccan heritage, has expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his heartfelt condolences and support towards Morocco following a devastating earthquake that has deeply affected the nation.
The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.8, struck Morocco with immense force, causing widespread destruction and despair. However, it has also demonstrated the power of global unity and the importance of offering assistance during crisis situations.
The earthquake was felt in various cities across Morocco, including Rabat and Casablanca, and reports suggest that it has resulted in over 2,000 deaths so far.
To show solidarity and compassion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences and support to the earthquake-hit country. Using X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi stated, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to the earthquake in Morocco. In this tragic time, my thoughts are with the people of Morocco. I offer my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I hope the injured recover soon. India is ready to provide any assistance to Morocco during this challenging period.”
