Speaking about the incident, according to The Mirror, Hugh Jackman shared the story with Graham Norton on his talk show. He said, “There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set.” Continuing to recall the scene, the actor added, “I ran around the corner and all the female crew members were gathered there. I tried to cover myself and accidentally cut my inner thigh – luckily, it was just the inner thigh.” Hugh concluded by saying, “The metal claws had to go, you can’t have pieces flying off.”
