Actor Rohitashv Gour, famous for his role in the sitcom ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’, recently discussed his family’s traditions and preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival is celebrated on the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month and will take place on September 19 this year.
Rohitashv Gour shared, “We celebrate this festival every year and our family has been following the tradition of bringing a Ganesha idol home for the past few years. This tradition started with my sister, who always brought an idol of Ganesh ji to our home. Our celebrations are full of warmth and affection as we spend the day with family and close friends.”
He further mentioned, “Every year, I make it a point to take a day off from work to celebrate this auspicious day with Ganesh Ji. This year, our theme is flowers because I believe flowers bring a smile to everyone’s face. We have made all the decorations ourselves, and it’s an added joy that my two daughters are doing all the creative work to welcome Bappa.”
Rohitashv Gour, also known for his role in ‘Lapataganj’, expressed his excitement for the festival and his eagerness to welcome Ganesh Ji into his home. He mentioned that his wife has already prepared a list of Bhog to offer to Ganesh Ji for all five days of the festival.
Switching gears to the current track of the show, Vibhuti (played by Aasif Sheikh) kills a mosquito using both his hands in a market. A beggar approaches Vibhuti and admires his clapping skills, comparing them to that of a qawwali singer. The beggar even offers to train Vibhuti, revealing that he was once a renowned qawwali singer himself. However, Vibhuti dismisses the beggar.
Back at home, Vibhuti shares the incident with David Cha-cha (Annup Upadhyay), who informs him that Angoori (played by Shubhangi Atre) loves qawwali. This revelation urges Vibhuti to impress Angoori, so he decides to seek training from the beggar. He assembles a team consisting of Tika (Vaibhav Mathur), Tilu (Salim Zaidi), and Saxena (Saanand Verma).
