Ed Sheeran has announced the postponement of his Las Vegas concert just hours before he was scheduled to perform. The concert, which was supposed to take place at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, will now be held on October 28. Sheeran cited production challenges as the reason for the delay and expressed his apologies to his fans.
On Instagram, Sheeran wrote, “I can’t believe I’m typing this but there’s been some challenges encountered during the load in of our Vegas show. It’s impossible to go forward with the show. I’m so sorry. I know everyone has traveled in for this and I wish I could change it.” He assured fans that all purchased tickets would be valid for the rescheduled date.
The venue initially warned the audience that the show timings would be significantly delayed before ultimately canceling the concert. They later apologized for the inconvenience caused and assured that updates were communicated as quickly as possible through various platforms, including their social channels, website, and venue app.
While efforts were made to assist fans waiting outside the stadium, many of them were left disappointed and frustrated. Matt Wenet and Raeann Schneider, who traveled all the way from Saskatchewan, Canada, expressed their disappointment after spending $400 on tickets and said they would not be able to attend the rescheduled date. Steve Polevoi, who was queuing with his daughter, found out about the cancellation through another person in line and criticized the lack of communication from the promoter and Sheeran.
