Singer-songwriter Justin Bieber recently shared a nostalgic moment to commemorate the release of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ new project, ‘The Love Album: Off The Grid’. In an Instagram Story post, Bieber recalled a time from his younger years when he attempted to pitch a song to Diddy. However, he candidly admitted that the song he offered was not up to par.
Unfortunately, Diddy turned down the song, leading Bieber to say it was a “hard no.” But as time went on, fate intervened, and Diddy approached Bieber to contribute to his new album. This turn of events brought their collaboration to a full circle, and Bieber expressed his appreciation and love for Diddy.
According to People magazine, Diddy’s new album, which was released on Friday, showcases an array of talented artists, including Bieber. The two musicians came together on the track ‘Moments’, which Bieber proudly showcased on his phone in the Instagram Story post.
The last album Diddy released was ‘Press Play’ in 2006. For ‘The Love Album’, he enlisted the talents of Fabolous, Jazmine Sullivan, 21 Savage, H.E.R., The Weeknd, Kehlani, Mary J. Blige, and many others. This 23-track body of work highlights the caliber of artists that joined forces with Diddy.
Prior to the album’s release, Diddy was honored with the Global Icon Award at the 2023 VMAs. During his acceptance speech, he expressed his gratitude and disbelief, reminiscing about his childhood dreams of being on the MTV stage. Holding the Moon Person trophy, he thanked God for his success and humbly appreciated the recognition he received.
