The fever for Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan continues to rise, grabbing headlines since its release on September 7. With Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles and Deepika Padukone making a cameo appearance, the film is directed by Atlee. Amidst the love and praise for the movie, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has thrown a challenge to the Modi Sarkar, asking if they will screen the film in the new parliament. Recently, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 was screened in the new parliament, which prompted Ramesh’s tweet. However, Twitteratis did not react favorably to his dare.
Challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, Jairam Ramesh tweeted, “Gadar-2 was shown in the new Parliament building a few days back. Will the Modi Sarkar have the courage to screen Jawan as well?” Netizens expressed their disappointment and raised the question of why The Kashmir Files, which is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, is not being screened. Some users even suggested special screenings for films like “The Kerala Story” and “The Delhi Files” to promote transparency.
While the response to Ramesh’s tweet remains uncertain, it is worth mentioning that Shah Rukh Khan has a warm relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the past, SRK has congratulated PM Modi on Twitter. What are your thoughts on this matter? Let us know!
