The 35th anniversary of Tim Burton’s ‘Batman’ will be celebrated with live symphony orchestra performances of the film’s score. The DC in Concert series will bring the soundtrack to theaters in various locations, including America, Paris, and London. Each performance will be accompanied by a projection of the original ‘Batman’ movie, featuring Michael Keaton as the vigilante and Jack Nicholson as his Joker nemesis.
The series will begin in January 2024 in Los Angeles and conclude in June, with the final shows taking place in Paris and London. Pre-sale tickets for these events will be available on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
‘Batman’ (1989) was scored by Danny Elfman, a regular collaborator with Tim Burton. Elfman is known for his work on other Burton films such as ‘Edward Scissorhands’ and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’.
Although ‘The Batman’, a recent film starring Robert Pattinson, has already hit theaters, a sequel is already in development. Matt Reeves, the writer and director of the first film, will return for the follow-up titled ‘The Batman Part II’. This sequel, part of the DC Elseworlds, is set to be released on October 3, 2025. It will exist within the DC universe but will have its own separate storyline.
Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Batman, and Andy Serkis will return as Alfred, Batman’s loyal butler.
